My Letter to a Sinful World (warning, a bit of a vent)

By V.J. Wakefield

Dear World,

I’m not changing. Let me explain. This year has been the worst in my opinion and I understand that. There was a virus that wiped out innocent lives, people are slipping into their old ways, lives have been taken and racism rained down like a hurricane. You need to change. God has always been with us. Don’t you see it? The Bible says in Psalms 91, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will be in the shadow of the almighty. So why aren’t you going to God when times are hard? Why is it so hard for you to open the book and see the truth? Why do you want to be blind? I don’t, but you do! Additionally, my people are being insulted, harassed, killed on the daily, and yet you watch it happen. Government, why must you keep silent while my people are being hurt? Why must this all be? We are not of you and we know that. We know that you hate us. You take our God’s name in vain. AFTER EVERYTHING HE HAS DONE FOR YOU!! I am so sick and tired of this year, this world and every evil thing on it. Why do you focus on the darkness instead of the light in front of you? Why do you ignore your creator? Why do you want us to change? To submit? Why???

Guess what.

We are not changing our faith.

I am not going to change.

We are not quitters. We are God’s children for goodness sakes. We never give up. We expect the world to hate us. To mock us. To ridicule us, to call us liars, deceviers, evil, horrid. But we won’t submit. I won’t submit. I rather please a God who loves me and prepares a place for me in Heaven, than satisfy a world that hates me.

I am a Christian

I will never change.

From, the resident child of God,

V.J.

(P.S at least my God is real and your idols aren’t).

You hold Everything

BY V.J Wakefeild

I always had thoughts of evil that always seeped into my brain.

I was always miserable, through the sunny days and all of the rain.

Before You that was what my brain merged into my sanity.

Lies

Evil

danger

and profanity

But now You are here, my brain is washed through.

Jesus above, You hold everything ,

my family,

friends and my soul.

Please always calm my thoughts and consciousness and my body and brain.

You hold everything.

And I love You.

Thank you for Reading!

What is to come

By V.J Wakefield

Hello everyone, welcome to another one of these blogging updates. Today I will talk about a new blog series (yes series!) that I am currently working on, and on my family trip. So let’s get into it.

So first is the series. What this series is about is scripture, however, it is stories inspired by the scripture. What I mean is that I will take a certain scripture and will write a short story around it to teach others about what the scripture means through it. Hopefully, it will teach others about the scripture and how it applies to life today and what the lesson can be learned from it. I was inspired by Le Petit Muse (Diana Tyler), who did something like this with her own characters, so please check out her blog, which I will put the link below. I will hopefully post the first story today so expect this real soon. It will be called Scripture Tales. And hopefully, it will come out either once or twice a week.

Next, I will talk about my family trip. Soon my family and I will go on a trip, so expect some more pictures and a slow down in posts. I just wanted to give you all a heads up for this.

Please comment any suggestions about this.

April Bible Time

By V.J Wakefeild

So for our April Bible Time, I have chosen this verse from John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” What this verse is saying is that God loved the world, out of all of the planets in the universe which He created, He loved the world so much that He decided to send His one and only son, Jesus Christ, to come and save us, and that whoever believes in Him, will not die, but instead will have eternal life in Heaven forever. This verse is a magnificent show of how much God loves and cares for us. Out of all of the things He created, in an infinite universe with so many possibilities, He decided on earth and on us to save from death if we believe in His one and only son Jesus to be our One and only Lord and savior forever. I have already accepted Him, but what about you? I was listening to Billy Graham in the car with my mom on Monday, and what he said was that Jesus Christ is the only cure to the disease of sin, sadness depression, loneliness, addiction, anger, hunger, health problems. Basically everything. And when you believe you will be instantly cured. The message I am trying to convey is to accept and believe, and even when times are hard, keep calm and believe on.

Operation Jolly Feet

By V.J Wakefeild

Today, my mother, brother and I went to First Christian Church for an event about an organization called Operation: Jolly Feet. It’s run by a couple named Run and Scottie bloomer along with their families to help people in the Dominican Republic, through providing clothing and shoes for their kids, help build and repair houses and they have a church for people that help people get closer to Jesus. So first at the event, we praised God and prayed for Him to bless and forgive us.

Then they went into detail with what they were doing. Zuni’s parents are pastors and they were able to build a church for God in the Dominican Republic. They also have mission trips there and help out in building people’s houses. One time they repaired a house for a widowed woman whose house was in terrible condition, so they went and with God’s help, fixed and now it is clean and very pretty. Additionally, they established a Church which is very successful in, and outside the church walls. And finally, they helped create a daycare for the working parents, so they can help them know that their kids are safe. They also work with Scottie in his organization called Operation Jolly Feet. This is an organization which helps give clothing, shoes and everyday basic necessities to families and to children who are not as fortunate as us.

They both have been extremely successful and they both have relied on God to help them with the donations and the money needed. What I have learned was that if the flesh says no, and The Holy Spirit says yes, just do it, and the blessings will come, also to let God in control because He will not disappoint.

So what can you do? Well to donate some money, and if you’re in the area, send your donations here:

International Dominican Christian Mission

38 W 310 McDonald Rd.

Elgin, IL 60124

And this is for Jolly Feet:

Go to Operation Jolly Feet on Facebook.

Here’s some pictures of the event:

There is also going to be a concert for charity that they will be attending on Friday May 31 at 6:00 pm at Church Balsam to the heart.

So please Donate and Pray for the organizations and please help them out please.
