I’m not changing. Let me explain. This year has been the worst in my opinion and I understand that. There was a virus that wiped out innocent lives, people are slipping into their old ways, lives have been taken and racism rained down like a hurricane. You need to change. God has always been with us. Don’t you see it? The Bible says in Psalms 91, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will be in the shadow of the almighty. So why aren’t you going to God when times are hard? Why is it so hard for you to open the book and see the truth? Why do you want to be blind? I don’t, but you do! Additionally, my people are being insulted, harassed, killed on the daily, and yet you watch it happen. Government, why must you keep silent while my people are being hurt? Why must this all be? We are not of you and we know that. We know that you hate us. You take our God’s name in vain. AFTER EVERYTHING HE HAS DONE FOR YOU!! I am so sick and tired of this year, this world and every evil thing on it. Why do you focus on the darkness instead of the light in front of you? Why do you ignore your creator? Why do you want us to change? To submit? Why???
Guess what.
We are not changing our faith.
I am not going to change.
We are not quitters. We are God’s children for goodness sakes. We never give up. We expect the world to hate us. To mock us. To ridicule us, to call us liars, deceviers, evil, horrid. But we won’t submit. I won’t submit. I rather please a God who loves me and prepares a place for me in Heaven, than satisfy a world that hates me.
I am a Christian
I will never change.

(P.S at least my God is real and your idols aren’t).
Hello and welcome back to my blog. I hope you all are doing well where ever you are. Look, I know that the intro seems like the kind of thing that is not worth your time but I PROMISE that this is one of the most important things that you might read, especially during these times. So let’s talk about the ever-present topic of Corona Virus.
For those of you who are unaware of the current international situation, the Coronavirus, ( Also known as COVID-19) is a current worldwide pandemic, known as an airborne diseases virus that infects through laden drops, (Not specifically set in stone. Look to the bottom of the page for more information).
This virus has hit the U.S., Italy, and China the hardest, and this virus leading to schools being canceled, businesses shutting down, people losing jobs, Church being canceled, and to people going under quarantine in their houses, not being able to be with their friends or family. I should know because I’m in quarantine. You might be thinking why I’m talking about it, I mean, my blog is literally named Stories of Hope, why am I talking about this? Well, as it so happens the Bible actually predicted the virus, along with the other tragedies that happened during this and last years.
It sounds weird, but it’s true! It’s right there. In 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 God says 13 “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” ( New International Version, 2 Chr 7:13-14). Let’s break this down.
First, God says that he would shut up Heaven so no rain can come down. I don’t know about you, but this reminds me of the Australian Bush Fires, the tragic event in Australia which killed 33 people, 3 of which were volunteer Firefighters, burned down 3,000 homes and burning 25.5 acres of land, according to The Verge. Then He goes on and says locusts would devour the land. I’m not sure if this was talked a whole lot, but in East Africa and in South Asia, they have suffered the worst Locust infestation in the last century. According to BBC, locusts eat their own body weight, which means that they are multiplying quickly, and the fight against locusts is a costly one. The last thing He said was to happen was that a plague would come upon His people. The Coronavirus. All of the things listed out in this scripture are happening in real-time, meaning this was all bound to happen.
Now, some people might blame God for all of this happening. Complaining to others that if God loved His people, then He would have never have done this to us. I’m here to tell you…
THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!!
Are you crazy?!?! God is a good God regardless of what happens on earth. Plus, all of these catastrophes are NOT GOD’S FAULT. I argue that it is ours. Mankind. And before you click off, please hear me out. In the verse, God said that He shut up the Heavens. Why? Because of what the rest of the verse said:
“…14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (New International Version, 2 Chr 7:14).
He shut up the Heavens because of our sins. We caused all of this to happen, and by doing this, God is trying to lead us to Him, so we can go to Him to forgive our sins and fix what we have done and to trust Him, not our own hands.
So what do we do now? Well, do exactly what God tell us to do in the verse:
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (New International Version, 2 Chr 7:14).
We need to humble ourselves before the Lord, seek Him and turn from our ways. We need to turn to God, humble ourselves, and turn from our ways. He said that if we do this, He will forgive our sins and heal our land. This is a message to you, the reader. Please I implore you, humble yourself, seek out God, pray for forgiveness, and turn from your wicked ways. It might seem difficult, but it will be worth it for the result of your sins being forgiven and the land being healed.
I know these are hard times in the world, and everything feels like it’s never going to end, but if you listen to the actual Word of God, then we can be able to understand how to handle this situation. Please trust God, because even though everything is bad right now, He is still good.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” ( New International Version, Psa 46:1).
Thanks for Reading! (Also look below for the sources that I’ve used).
Since I have missed a lot of time writing, I have missed a lot of important dates that I wanted to talk about that I will do annually on the days that they occur.
1.) My Vision Anniversary
As today, I have finally remembered the date ( well the year, not the exact date, but it was close to this), being December 10th, 2014. This means that I have spent 6 years with The Holy Spirit inside of me, along with God and Jesus. I am in awe that He decided to stay in this mess, and is continuing to heal and nourish me. I am going to stay with them for as long as I live on earth, and in Heaven forever. I thank Jesus, God and The Holy Spirit for staying with me now and forever.
2.) My Baptism Anniversary
This is one of the best days of my life, (along with my vision). As I came up, I felt like my spirit was awakening. Everyone says that spiritual awakening comes from idols and yoga, but true spiritual awakeness comes from accepting and being Baptized for Jesus, along with following Him. Without Him, I would not be where I am today and I truly love and thank Him for saving my entire life and soul. Guys, He saved me, that is something I feel that I can never repay Him for. Thank you, Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. I truly love and accept and believe in you.
3.) My Blog Anniversary
That’s right, I have spent 1 full year on this website. I like to thank Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit for bringing me to this website. I will continue to write for God as long as I live. And I would like to thank my generous readers for taking time out of their day to read my work. I am very grateful to you guys for choosing me out of all of the other bloggers. I am humbled to know that you are willing to read me and listen to my voice. It makes me really happy.
This might seem like the kind of blog that might be sad and depressing, but I promise it isn’t!
In my life, I and anxiety don’t really mix well together. During my life, I developed anxiety due to my loss of sleep due to school, and just to me being anxious almost all of the time. And it really sucked, because it impacted my life to having not enough sleep to more than enough, to my relationship with God going up, and then down, then back up again. Sometimes when I try to relax, I can’t because I would be anxious. I would act really weird in front of other people, and forget a lot of things. I wanted this cycle of anxiety to stop because it was starting to take over my life and relationship with God. Luckily God had brought my Bible app to attention, and to a certain plan on the app.
See, I had the YouVersion app, which had the Bible along with study plans, and the particular study plan that God pushed my attention towards was this one plan called Stress Free Living by Guillermo Maldonado. Through this plan, I learned what was wrong. I needed to give Jesus my anxiety. I think the reason why I’ve kept it to myself was that I thought that I was strong enough to take it all on myself, however, I didn’t face the reality that I wasn’t and that I needed his help. Last night I decided to give Him all of my anxiety and in an instant, I was immediately calm. I was able to sleep again and the morning was quite calm. He did it. He got rid of my anxiety and showed me how to cope with it. He showed me that I should not just run but sprint into His arms when I have anxiety, because this is one of the things that He sent his Son, Jesus, to free us from the mental prison I lock myself into. I thank Jesus, God and The Holy Spirit for helping me from now and into the future.
During writing this, I thought about a scripture that I have recently read in the study plan. It was Psalm 46: 1-2. It states, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea…” (Bible gateway). The reason why I thought of this scripture for this post was that it was true! You have to run into Jesus, God and The Holy Spirit’s arms if you feel sad, lonely or are in danger or in hard times, and because of this we should not fear, but instead be calm because God is here.
