The Coronavirus Prophecy

By V.J. Wakefield

Hello and welcome back to my blog. I hope you all are doing well where ever you are. Look, I know that the intro seems like the kind of thing that is not worth your time but I PROMISE that this is one of the most important things that you might read, especially during these times. So let’s talk about the ever-present topic of Corona Virus.

For those of you who are unaware of the current international situation, the Coronavirus, ( Also known as COVID-19) is a current worldwide pandemic, known as an airborne diseases virus that infects through laden drops, (Not specifically set in stone. Look to the bottom of the page for more information).

This virus has hit the U.S., Italy, and China the hardest, and this virus leading to schools being canceled, businesses shutting down, people losing jobs, Church being canceled, and to people going under quarantine in their houses, not being able to be with their friends or family. I should know because I’m in quarantine. You might be thinking why I’m talking about it, I mean, my blog is literally named Stories of Hope, why am I talking about this? Well, as it so happens the Bible actually predicted the virus, along with the other tragedies that happened during this and last years.

It sounds weird, but it’s true! It’s right there. In 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 God says 13 “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” ( New International Version, 2 Chr 7:13-14). Let’s break this down.

First, God says that he would shut up Heaven so no rain can come down. I don’t know about you, but this reminds me of the Australian Bush Fires, the tragic event in Australia which killed 33 people, 3 of which were volunteer Firefighters, burned down 3,000 homes and burning 25.5 acres of land, according to The Verge. Then He goes on and says locusts would devour the land. I’m not sure if this was talked a whole lot, but in East Africa and in South Asia, they have suffered the worst Locust infestation in the last century. According to BBC, locusts eat their own body weight, which means that they are multiplying quickly, and the fight against locusts is a costly one. The last thing He said was to happen was that a plague would come upon His people. The Coronavirus. All of the things listed out in this scripture are happening in real-time, meaning this was all bound to happen.

Now, some people might blame God for all of this happening. Complaining to others that if God loved His people, then He would have never have done this to us. I’m here to tell you…

THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!!

Are you crazy?!?! God is a good God regardless of what happens on earth. Plus, all of these catastrophes are NOT GOD’S FAULT. I argue that it is ours. Mankind. And before you click off, please hear me out. In the verse, God said that He shut up the Heavens. Why? Because of what the rest of the verse said:

“…14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (New International Version, 2 Chr 7:14).

He shut up the Heavens because of our sins. We caused all of this to happen, and by doing this, God is trying to lead us to Him, so we can go to Him to forgive our sins and fix what we have done and to trust Him, not our own hands.

So what do we do now? Well, do exactly what God tell us to do in the verse:

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (New International Version, 2 Chr 7:14).

We need to humble ourselves before the Lord, seek Him and turn from our ways. We need to turn to God, humble ourselves, and turn from our ways. He said that if we do this, He will forgive our sins and heal our land. This is a message to you, the reader. Please I implore you, humble yourself, seek out God, pray for forgiveness, and turn from your wicked ways. It might seem difficult, but it will be worth it for the result of your sins being forgiven and the land being healed.

I know these are hard times in the world, and everything feels like it’s never going to end, but if you listen to the actual Word of God, then we can be able to understand how to handle this situation. Please trust God, because even though everything is bad right now, He is still good.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” ( New International Version, Psa 46:1).

My Anniversaries

By V.J. Wakefield

Since I have missed a lot of time writing, I have missed a lot of important dates that I wanted to talk about that I will do annually on the days that they occur.

1.) My Vision Anniversary

As today, I have finally remembered the date ( well the year, not the exact date, but it was close to this), being December 10th, 2014. This means that I have spent 6 years with The Holy Spirit inside of me, along with God and Jesus. I am in awe that He decided to stay in this mess, and is continuing to heal and nourish me. I am going to stay with them for as long as I live on earth, and in Heaven forever. I thank Jesus, God and The Holy Spirit for staying with me now and forever.

2.) My Baptism Anniversary

This is one of the best days of my life, (along with my vision). As I came up, I felt like my spirit was awakening. Everyone says that spiritual awakening comes from idols and yoga, but true spiritual awakeness comes from accepting and being Baptized for Jesus, along with following Him. Without Him, I would not be where I am today and I truly love and thank Him for saving my entire life and soul. Guys, He saved me, that is something I feel that I can never repay Him for. Thank you, Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. I truly love and accept and believe in you.

3.) My Blog Anniversary

That’s right, I have spent 1 full year on this website. I like to thank Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit for bringing me to this website. I will continue to write for God as long as I live. And I would like to thank my generous readers for taking time out of their day to read my work. I am very grateful to you guys for choosing me out of all of the other bloggers. I am humbled to know that you are willing to read me and listen to my voice. It makes me really happy.

Thanks for reading!

Where I've been

By V.J. Wakefield

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA during these past few weeks. My year has been nothing but busy with school work and standardized testing and also a bit of a writer’s block. I apologize for my lack of motivation. However, I am back and happy to be writing once more. I know that the world is going through a crisis right now, so all I have to say to this is to trust in God and that He has everything under control. We should also take this as a sign that Jesus is coming very, very, soon and that we should continue to lead others to Christ and stay in the faith. Finish the race. It’s not over. To the people forced into quarantine this, and probably next month, keep praying, having hope and trusting in God, and also stay safe and wash your hands. This will all be over soon.

Thanks for reading!

You hold Everything

BY V.J Wakefeild

I always had thoughts of evil that always seeped into my brain.

I was always miserable, through the sunny days and all of the rain.

Before You that was what my brain merged into my sanity.

Lies

Evil

danger

and profanity

But now You are here, my brain is washed through.

Jesus above, You hold everything ,

my family,

friends and my soul.

Please always calm my thoughts and consciousness and my body and brain.

Scripture Tales: The Modern Samaritan

Season 1 Episode 3

By V.J Wakefeild

The Modern Samaritan

“Yes I know, I know, I will be home soon.” “I’m serious, come home now, you know how Chicago is at night.” ” I know honey. See you soon.” The man hung up the phone and continued to walk. He was on Michigan Avenue after his job and was heading to his car, which was parked far from his workplace. He worked for a new company which has gained large traction, and after his hard work, he decided to take a walk through a nearby park for a while before driving home. So he carried on the sidewalk through the dark of night and the bright city lights. As he started to approach the he heard footsteps behind him. As he turned around, he was attacked by robbers. They beat him to the ground, took his wallet, phone and car keys. They also took his coat and left him near death.

Hours passed as he laid there, but soon one of his coworkers passed by him. However, he went to the other side of the road, because he had work to do, and was afraid of the robbers and being their next target. More desperate hours had passed, and another one of his coworkers came by. When he saw the man lying on the road, he did the same as the last coworker and went to the other side of the road. More hours slowly ticked by, when a homeless man walked up to the man, and had compassion on him. He the man up and brought him to his own car. He poured rubbing alcohol on the man’s wounds, and patched him up with some bandages.

He then drove the man to a nearby motel, and took care of him. He then paid the manager almost all of his remaining money, and said ” When I come back I try will to pay in full of any other expenses that might come.” He headed for the door, turned around, and said, “Please take care of him.”

Message #1: Luke 10:25-29

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

Message #2: Luke 10 36-37

“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

God loves you

BY V.J Wakefield

God loves you and me too.

He sees you with kind eyes, even through your sins and lies.

He healed the blind, the drunk and the unkind, whose sins made them feel like they were stuck in the earth’s dirt and muck.

He healed the blind, the drunk and the unkind, whose sins made them feel like they were stuck in the earth’s dirt and muck.

Safe and warm.

God loves you and me too.

God loves everyone.

And especially you.

Scripture tales: A Prideful Grade Part 2

By V.J Wakefeild

After school, day by day, Grace filled in the questions on the review and filled the cheat sheet. And day by day she asked questions and worked hard. “Wow, Grace!” Mr. Gern said. “I am impressed by all of your hard work!” “Well, it’s nothing really. I’m just happy that I got my questions answered.” On the other hand, however, Caleb has slacked off on his assignment, partially filled the cheat sheet and had hardly answered the questions. After class, he would always say to Grace, “I am just tasting that A! I know through my intelligence, I will get it!” One day Grace stopped and said, “Dude. Just stop being prideful and do your work.” He looked at her like she had three arms. “I am not being prideful!” “Dude, you are! You always talk about how great you are at Chemistry without doing any of the work!” He paused. “How do you know?” “Well, every time you say you do your work, I see you on social media having a good time with friends!” “I know, I am sorry about lying, but I am not prideful.” She reached up and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Dude, this will snowball into something really bad. I just know it! Plus, The Bible said not to be prideful or else bad stuff will occur. Just think about it.” She carried on down the hall without him or saying a word.

The day of the final eventually came up. Grace turned in her assignment completed to the teacher as he went down the row. She turned to Caleb, who was sitting next to her in class. When the teacher came around to Caleb, he handed in his assignment. “Caleb.” “Yes, Mr.Gern?” “Why is this assignment half completed?” “I, uh, didn’t finish in time.” “Mhm.” The teacher walked away shaking his head. Grace got worried for him but then concentrated on the test in front of her. Her cheat sheet was done. Caleb’s wasn’t. After the exam was over, the students burst out of the classroom and sprinted out of the school, being that all of the subject’s exams were over. Scores came in the very next day. “Hey, Caleb, what did you get?” Grace said through the phone. “Well…” “Me first?” “Yes please.” She took a deep breath in. “I got an A. What about you?” There was silence. Then his voice broke out. ” A D.” “Wow.” “Yeah.” She can sense the disappointment through his tone. “At least it is only worth 10%. Right?” Silence again. “I have to go to summer school and retake the whole class because my parents want me to get an A because the overall grade went down to a C.” “Wow.” “I should have listened to you.” “It’s okay dude. Just don’t be prideful.” “Okay.” Grace stopped to take it all in. “Well, goodbye then.” “Bye.”

Message: Proverbs 3:34 : He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.

Please comment about this and what you would have done in either Grace or Caleb’s situation.

Scripture tales: A Prideful Grade Part 1

By V.J Wakefield

Season 1 Episode 1

“Today I will give you the tools to prepare for the final exam.” Said Mr. Gern, the chemistry teacher. The entire class groaned as the pressure of finals suddenly thickened the air. “I will give you the review guide and a cheat sheet to prepare for the test and to be eligible for the curve. I am expecting the review guide to be completed by the day of the final along with the cheat sheet which can be used during the test.” As he went around passing out the thick packets and pink sheets, Grace started to nervously twist her grey hair between her fingers. She knew that she was good at chemistry, but she did not really think highly how well she was at it. She knew that she had to prepare for this test, even though she was pretty good at it. The bell rang and she headed out of class. “Hey, shorty Gracie.” “Hey, Caleb.” Caleb, her best friend, always called her this because of his tall and lanky stature compared to her. ” Are you nervous about the test?” She asked him. “No, not really. Besides, I am really good at chemistry. I got an A on the last test, so I expect this one to go swimmingly.” She looked at him strangely. “But that was only one test dude. How do you know that you’ll get an A on this one?” He pauses, then says “Because I’m pretty good at it. What about you?” “I am pretty nervous. I am hoping to get all of my questions out and finish what needs to be done.” Caleb chuckles as they turn the corner towards grace’s art class and the library. “Well, in my opinion, that is something to flaunt off. Bye.” He walks off towards the library as she enters her class. But isn’t that pride? She thought.
