April Bible Time

By V.J Wakefeild

So for our April Bible Time, I have chosen this verse from John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” What this verse is saying is that God loved the world, out of all of the planets in the universe which He created, He loved the world so much that He decided to send His one and only son, Jesus Christ, to come and save us, and that whoever believes in Him, will not die, but instead will have eternal life in Heaven forever. This verse is a magnificent show of how much God loves and cares for us. Out of all of the things He created, in an infinite universe with so many possibilities, He decided on earth and on us to save from death if we believe in His one and only son Jesus to be our One and only Lord and savior forever. I have already accepted Him, but what about you? I was listening to Billy Graham in the car with my mom on Monday, and what he said was that Jesus Christ is the only cure to the disease of sin, sadness depression, loneliness, addiction, anger, hunger, health problems. Basically everything. And when you believe you will be instantly cured. The message I am trying to convey is to accept and believe, and even when times are hard, keep calm and believe on.

Venezuela Update #1

By V.J Wakefeild

All works used are not mine. The sources used are at the bottom of the post.

This is the first update about Venezuela and what is going on. So let’s get into it. So today, according to an article written by Chris Mills Rodrigo for The Hill named Scott: Need to ‘consider’ using the military to get aid to Venezuela, Florida senator Rick Scott said that America should “”consider” using military force to get aid into Venezuela” (Rodrigo para 1). This means that the government of America is considering giving military aid to Venezuela. He also said at the State of the Union on CNN, ““I think we’ve got to take seriously there is genocide going on in Venezuela right now. [Venezuelan President Nicolas] Maduro is intentionally starving his citizens””( Rodrigo para 2). Scott then said “”We’ve got to really consider whether we do military help getting this aid in to save the starving people in Venezuela,” he added. “I mean this is genocide, and Maduro is doing it”” ( Rodrigo para 3). And through these statements, hopefully, the Americas might start sending the military to aid Venezuela.

Even though things are getting better, this does not mean we should stop praying to God for the people. And with our efforts, with God’s help the crisis in Venezuela can finally end. So keep praying!

Please comment your thoughts on the matter!

Prayers for Venezuela

By V.J Wakefeild

As most of you probably know, the country of Venezuela is currently a war zone. It is in absolute chaos because of their government, which is a narco-dictatorship, and the people have had enough of their mistreatment. An example is that water prices are higher than the price for oil. This means that most people are literally dying of thirst, and they are also dying because of the protests getting out of hand and the police beating some people and some had even died. So, why am I writing this? Because part of my family is from Venezuela. My family and I have taken many trips to Venezuela where my abuelita and my tio lived (grandmother and uncle). I have seen poverty at its peak. Multiple people living in a house that is no bigger than a single bedroom. Plus, there are other rich countries whose governments steal the resources which Venezuela holds. This is a fight of interest, or also known as money. The reason why they are fighting to keep Venezuela the way it is is because Venezuela has riches that is and was unheard of. And they think that if they have control over Venezuela, then they can have all of the riches to become more powerful. However, things are starting to become better. There are currently 50 countries, including America, who are fighting alongside the people of Venezuela to end this disorder, and we can help too. I am writing to you guys to help pray for these people. Please pray for the restoration of peace. Democracy and for fair treatment and justice. This might not seem like much but don’t underestimate the power of God, the Lord of light who always stomps out the darkness. I’ll provide a couple of links that will lead you to some articles on the matter. I’ll also do weekly updates on the matter and to show you what has been happening so far.

Please comment support for the country and prayers please.

Here are the articles that have been posted today: (You might need to copy and paste the URL) also there are some videos. These do not belong to me, they belong to the owners of the videos and websites.

He Listens

By V.J Wakefield

Last year I had a hard season. I had doubts and stress which did not really make me happy. One day, I was having a bonfire with my family, and I decided to take a walk and take in the scenery. When I was alone, I called out to God and ask Him to show me a sign. To show me that He was there and that He cared. Then something happened.
When I looked into the sky I saw a cloud . At first, I thought that it was a regular cloud, but then it morphed into a heart. It meant that He was listening! I praised the Lord and asked for mercy and I felt God’s love and beauty wash over me. This showed me that not only was He listening, but He is actively working to show me that I am loved. This also showed me that He does care, and He loves you, and no matter what, He is always listening. This also came through when I received The Holy Spirit.
Prior to my vision mentioned in my testimony, I had noticed that there was a hole in my heart. It felt like a literal black hole, or that there was a missing puzzle piece in my heart. And while I was worshiping God on that fateful night, He showed me that He was listening to my prayers not only at that moment but even before when I was praying about this situation. He also showed me that He was and still is actively working in my life, as well as yours, and is working diligently to answer your prayers. Sometimes they are yes’s. Sometimes no’s. Sometimes you have to wait a while. But some people often assume that when they are praying, their pleas would just zip past God’s ears or that He was too busy, but that is absolutely wrong. No matter what, He cares for you and loves you with the deepest passion in existence, and He wants you to talk to Him, and He always has time for you. And no matter what, He always listens.

1 John 5:15 – “And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”

Please comment a time where God had listened to you.

My surgery

By V.J Wakefield

I’m sorry for the recent hiatus. On March 25th I had surgery on my nose and over the spring break, I had to heal. Due to the prayers and mercy and love of God, I was able to have a speedy recovery. I also have a high tolerance for pain. However, I just had stitches and 2 tubes taken out (it was a weird experience), and I am swollen so I might not be able to write as much, but I’ll try to manage. With God of course. However, I will try to work on what I have said that I am doing. I will keep my promises and write about what I said I will and hopefully finish it all. After this, I will be posting new content which is more Christ-oriented.

Please comment below about any suggestions on what I should write if you want anything. Make sure that they are appropriate and nothing horrible or nasty or rude.

God bless you all

30 interesting questions challenge

I was reading a post by Kylie’s Corner and more, a Christian blog whose posts are really good. So, I am reading this post, and when I went to the bottom, I read,

“I nominate everyone reading this to write their own answers to these questions” (Celine).

So Kylie…

Challenge Accepted!

What are your nicknames? What do you prefer to be called?

My nicknames are V, Veve king and that’s about it, I mean there’s more but still.

2. How often do you doodle? What do your doodles look like?

I doodle sometimes, but I don’t often do it. However, my doodles are usually little cartoon characters, which were either cartoon versions of myself or book characters. They kinda look like a circle head with no hair and the body is a line, and if it’s a girl, they get a bow and a skirt, and for the boys, it would be a rectangle with a line that looks like pants.

3. What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep? Toss and turn? Try to get up and do something productive?

I would name countries I know from A to Z and I would usually fall asleep.

4. Do people consider you as talkative or quiet?

I am both talkative and quiet.

5. What makes you cry?

When I am stressed so I can get rid of all if the stress and when I watch a Christian movie because I love God.

When I don’t finish something, or when people would just stare when I ask for help when I drop something and/or when they just walk on by when I ask for help.

7. How many times a day do you look at yourself in the mirror?

Only when I put on my clothes so I make sure that I am not going against the school rules.

8. What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?

That my family was cursed.

Don’t ask.

9. What is one guilty pleasure you enjoy too much to give up?

Staying up late.

10. Who performs the most random acts of kindness out of everyone you know?

Like Kylie and The Bible said, I would not be giving any examples because you should not really tell anyone about the kindness you or others do.

11. How often do you read the newspaper? Which sections?

I mostly watch TV news not really articles.

12. Which animal scares you the most?

Not any really any but spiders freak me out.

13. Are you more likey to avoid conflict or engage it head-on?

I would go head on but if it is a human conflict then I would try to avoid it.

14. What was the most recent compliment you received?

That a person re blogged my original post

15. What question are you tired of hearing?

New York and Chicago because they are so interesting and there is so much to do.

28. You can select one person from history and have them truthfully answer one question. Who would you select and what would the question be?

Not sure.

29. Which celebrity or artist do you resemble the most?

My brother says I look like Emily Blunt from ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ but when I went online, it says I look like Montana Cox, but I highly doubt it, because I would look like these two if you imagine them with peachy skin with giant brown curly hair, with large hazel eyes, with a face full of spots.

30. What do you want me to know?

Don’t ever give up, because God loves you and will stay with you guys for life.

I nominate all of my followers and the people who decided to read this. This post is not to praise myself, it’s just for fun’s sake. So have fun and a good day. (Also thanks to Kylie for the questions).

Feed My Starving Children

By V.J Wakefeild

This might seem like a strange title, but this is the name of a Christian, non-profit organization which helps feed malnourished children in over 60 countries around the world, and has over 80 partnerships in these countries. I have had the honor of going to one of these places, and it was very nice and uplifting both spiritually and emotionally.

What they do is again that they feed malnourished children in their most desperate hours. At their buildings they take in people who volunteer with them, which who then help pack the food named, ” Manna Packs” into boxes for a certain country for each day. Then after they were done, they pray over the food then ship them off to the country they were packing for.

These were the exact things that happened when we visited. Last year in the month of November, the Friday after Thanksgiving my mother and I went because we wanted to help give the kids the Thanksgiving they deserve, and also because it was a project at school to volunteer in my community. So we went online and signed up online. When we went to one of their locations, it was full of happy people and the feeling was just wonderful. So they brought us inside after we put out stuff away and put on our hairnets. They sat all the people down and introduced the jobs. There were the loading, packers and the labelers. My mom and I went to label with a mother and her kids. They were little kids, but they were excited to help out. Lastly, they gathered all the boxes and we prayed over them, so they can have safe travel and go into the kids’ bellies. According to the woman, this is what we achieved in the week:

Boxes Packed: 145

Meals: 31,320

Kids fed for a year: 85

Costs: $6,890

During the entire experience, I have felt so happy and welcomed, even as we went back home. It made me want to go back there again and again. I would definitely give the experience a 10/10 would recommend. I also recommend that you do this as well. Not only does it help feed hungry kids, but it also can help save lives. Additionally, when you go there you can buy some stuff so some money can go to the people around the world who made them. I bought a butterfly ornament for the Christmas tree.
